The politicians for now will only make noises and bring out help which they very well know will not change the status-quo with respect to Pandits. Its sad to know that such a paltry sum has been disbursed by the centre for pandits. They can be lethargic cause the political pressure upon them vis-a-vis pandits is minimal.<br />The reason is also not too far to be sought, may be. I have heard from people (caste-paranoid) that Pandits had to incur wrath of God due to their mistreatment of the lower-castes and hence they are unmoved by the plight of pandits. I can only PITY such people and their thoughts. But we hindus instead of calling the ethnic cleansing as genocide of the minority hindus, call the genocide as cleansing of pandits from the valley, THAT itself seems to be the very basic reason why the divided majority of the country positions itself to be PITIED time and again. And unfortunately history keeps repeating for the mass which eulogies the glory but forgets the lessons.Amit Deshpandehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13348652833141534650noreply@blogger.com
